报告内容简介:

Due to the fact of low energy conversion efficiency, fuel oil shortage, emitted pollution, and global competition, the need to develop energy alternatives for advanced propulsion systems is attracting both public and private sectors. Among many approaches to improving energy conversion efficiency, one method is to use hybrid electric (HE) drive trains. The implementation of HE technologies for automotive vehicles has been successfully pursued since 2003 and this success has triggered research for its extension to small aircraft. In the study it is intended to model major HE components such as the engine, motor, and battery. To demonstrate the application of the model, results from simulations and videos of prototype propulsion systems will be presented.

 

报告人简介:

Prof. Lieh is a Professor at Mechanical & Materials Engineering, Wright State University, USA. He obtained his PhD degree at department of Mechanical Engineering, Clemson University, USA. His research areas cover green energy technology, additive and smart manufacturing, electric vehicles, hybrid electric aircraft, mechatronics, nonlinear systems, control and automation, biomechanics, etc.
